Eiryss

One of the favourite Mercenaries in the War machine range, I've painted Eiryss with a polar theme.

On of the big boys of the War Machine 'verse.

This one has been mounted on different legs, and painted in duller colours to fit the rest of the army. I've highlighted the black areas with green. In fact they are a very dark green to begin with, to add a contrast to the limited areas of red on the figs. The green areas final highlights have metallics blended into them with a sharp metallic highlight on the edges.

He's also mounted on a taller base to make him more impressive when standing next to the other 'jacks.

Tomb Scorpion

To change up the look of a Tomb Scorpion, I've 'buried' this one. The trick is to saw off the bottom of the beast's body and tail, pin them to the base and then trim the legs down. I' built up the base to suggest the rest of the creature still under the ground.
Incidentally, building the Scorpion this way makes the model substantially more stable and rugged for gaming.
